TAPA Awards Program
Each year, TAPA recognizes individuals who are shining stars in the PA profession. These individuals go above and beyond the call of duty to care for patients, represent the profession and train future PAs. Awards are given in the following categories:
- PA of the Year
- PA Student of the Year
- Preceptor of the Year
- PA/Physician Team of the Year
Nominations are accepted from PAs, supervising physicians, PA students and program faculty. Awards are presented at a celebration held in conjunction with TAPA’s annual fall conference, FallFest.
The Awards Committee seeks PAs who demonstrate professional accomplishment, professional involvement, community service and other qualities that promote the PA profession. To submit a nomination, individuals should fill out the nomination form and return it to TAPA Awards Committee Chair Phillip Kirkland. Items such as newspaper clippings, articles written by the nominee and testimony from staff or patients are encouraged to be included with the nomination form.

This year, the deadline to submit nominations is August 26, 2011.
