FallFest - Gatlinburg Convention Center

October 8, 2018 to October 12, 2018

FallFest 2018

Oct. 8-12

Gatlinburg Convention Center

TAPA is pleased to once again return to the Gatlinburg area for FallFest 2018. Gatlinburg has been aggressively rebuilding since wildfires ravaged their community in November 2016, and FallFest attendees will find new hotels, new attractions, and new dining options (along with many old favorites!).

We hope that you will plan to join fellow PAs and students for this annual gathering. TAPA’s CME Committee is busy planning this year’s agenda, which is slated to offer 32 CME credits (when factoring in SA-CME bonus credits) along with an additional 7 CME credit in optional workshops. And they are developing the schedule to give attendees plenty of time in the afternoons to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, fit in a nature hike or two, or enjoy local attractions.

FallFest is scheduled for Oct. 8-12, 2018. Registration materials will be published in mid-May.

PA Student Programs

TAPA is pleased to offer student-specific programming at FallFest. The Student Track will be held on Monday, Oct. 8. These sessions are specifically designed to prepare students for graduating and entering the PA workforce. A morning of lectures will be followed with two concurrent PA student workshops that are designed to give PA students hands-on experiences. Stay tuned for more details!

Monday evening, TAPA is pleased to host the 4th Annual Student Challenge Bowl. Modeled after the AAPA National Challenge Bowl, Monday night’s event will help Tennessee PA students prepare for their exams, certification and the National Challenge Bowl competition. For more information, download the Challenge Bowl rules and registration forms.

Poster Presentations

TAPA is pleased to showcase another year of poster presentations at FallFest, which will give PAs and PA students the opportunity to showcase their research. Posters will be on display in the Exhibit Hall from Monday, Oct. 8 through Wednesday, Oct. 10. Authors will be present to talk about and answer questions regarding their work during breakfast from 7-8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Click here for submission guidelines.

TAPA has secured discounted pricing at several hotels in the area, and those blocks are now open. See the chart below for more information. Many of these hotels are either less than 2 years old or recently remodeled. All hotels, except the Park Vista, are within walking distance of the Gatlinburg Convention Center.
