PA Student Member Events

TAPA is pleased to offer student-specific programming to its student members as an added value to their TAPA student membership. Please mark your calendar for these upcoming events.

TAPA Student Challenge Bowl– The TAPA Student Challenge Bowl is a friendly competition between the Tennessee PA programs. Each program fields a team of 3 students who answer medical-related questions. This is a great opportunity for students to show off their clinical knowledge. The 1st Annual TAPA Challenge Bowl will be held in conjunction with TAPA’s Spring Fling conference on Friday, March 7.

Spring Fling Student Track – Each year, TAPA offers a Student Track at its spring conference. The programming for the Student Track is specifically geared to help PA students make the transition from school to work. TAPA members volunteer their time to speak on a variety of topics, including initial licensure, preparing for the PANCE, contract negotiations, charting, conducting a job search and an overview of the PA Practice Act. This year’s Student Track is scheduled for Saturday, March 8.

FallFest Student Workshop and Luncheon – At TAPA’s annual fall conference, FallFest, TAPA is pleased to offer student programing such as hands-on workshops for students and a student networking luncheon. This meeting is a great opportunity for PA students to interact with practicing PAs, find mentors and gain timely information on a variety of medical topics.
