Call for 2025 CME Speakers

TAPA is currently accepting applications for speakers at its 2025 conferences. Please read through the information below to ensure that your proposal meets the Academy’s requirements.

Spring Fling

TAPA is no longer offering an in-person spring conference. Instead, the content will be offered entirely online.

TAPA is seeking speakers to give live virtual lectures on medical topics. These sessions should be planned for 45-50 minutes, with 5-10 minutes left for Q&A. TAPA is also seeking speakers to deliver prerecorded lectures on medical topics. These lectures should be planned for 50-55 minutes in length and should cover board review topics in medical specialties.

FallFest

TAPA continues to offer an in-person conference at the fall conference. Traditional medical lectures will be offered, but TAPA would like to provide more hands-on training for attendees. Medical lectures involving case studies with attendee interaction will be given priority for scheduling.

TAPA is planning breakout sessions to provide attendees with learning opportunities on personal and professional topics. Some topics requested by past attendees include resume writing in the digital age, changing medical specialties, negotiating contracts, avoiding burnout, transitioning from clinical practice to academia, retirement planning, leadership development, clinic ownership, conducting quality improvement projects, board review techniques, and providing quality precepting. Breakout sessions are planned in one-hour increments, but longer breakout sessions could be planned to span multiple sessions.

TAPA is also seeking speakers to deliver prerecorded lectures on medical topics. These lectures should be planned for 50-55 minutes in length and should cover board review topics in medical specialties.

If you would like to be considered to speak at a future conference, please complete the speaker application to submit the following:

  • Lecture topic or title
  • Learning objectives
  • Speaker bio
  • References or a list of past speaking engagements

TAPA’s CME Committee will review submissions to select presentations that meet their agenda goals. Conference dates and submission deadlines are listed below. If you have questions, please contact TAPA at [email protected]

Lectures must be planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria as the AAPA is the accrediting body for TAPA conferences.

Tennessee PAs are required to be members of TAPA to be eligible speakers. If you have a financial hardship that keeps you from joining, please let us know so we can work with you.
